Gracious God,
May our homes be filled with warmth, our hearts with gratitude, and our days with patience as the seasons change. Bless our children with joy and resilience, and strengthen our parent community to walk together with kindness and grace this November.
Amen
Dear Corpus Christi Community,
What a vibrant and joyful month October was at Corpus Christi! From learning and prayer to incredible school spirit, our building has been buzzing with energy and community warmth.
The highlight of the month was undoubtedly our School Spirit Week! Our students had a blast getting cozy for Pajama Day and turning things upside down for Backwards Day. The grand finale of the week was our fantastic Monster Mash dance, which brought so many smiles, impressive costumes, and high energy. A tremendous thank you goes out to our wonderful Parent Council for their hard work in organizing and running such a memorable event for our students!
October gave us wonderful opportunities to reflect, move, and learn together. We gathered as a school family for a beautiful Thanksgiving Liturgy, taking time to pray and express gratitude for our many blessings. Our classes also embraced the outdoors during "Take Me Outside Day," enjoying fresh air and experiential learning. Additionally, our students showed amazing heart and community spirit during our annual Terry Fox Walk.
As we turn the page to November, crisp fall days and cooler temperatures have officially arrived. Please ensure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the changing weather each day. This includes warm coats, boots, hats, and gloves to help keep them comfortable during outdoor recess. When snow comes, snow pants are necessary for students to stay warm and dry!
With layers coming off during playtime, our Lost and Found is already overflowing! We strongly encourage you to label all clothing, outerwear, and personal items with your child's name so we can quickly return lost items to their owners.
For your convenience, we will have all Lost and Found items spread out on tables by the gym hallway during Parent-Teacher Interview Night on November 19. Please take a few moments when you visit to browse the tables and reclaim any missing belongings. All unclaimed items will be donated.
Thank you for your ongoing support, enthusiasm, and partnership in making Corpus Christi such a special place to learn and grow!
Your partner in education,
Jacqueline Lawlor
Principal, Corpus Christi School
We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Marisol Coya, who has joined our front office team as our new Office Administrator! Marisol brings a wonderful spirit of helpfulness and organization to our school, and she will be the friendly face greeting you when you visit as well as the welcoming voice on the line when you call. She is genuinely excited to get to know our vibrant Corpus Christi community and looks forward to supporting our students, families, and staff every day. Please feel free to stop by the main office next time you are in the building to say hello and give Marisol a warm welcome!
Thank you for supporting the annual Corpus Christi Terry Fox event to raise money for cancer research. It was another huge success this year, raising over $1000! We would like to thank the volunteers who helped us make our off-site run safe and fun and Ms Lawlor who rewarded our efforts by singing a beautiful rendition of Over the Rainbow!
